Maryam Saeedpoor — The Dominance x Woman Life Freedom

The exhibition presents two series. The Dominance (2022) uses the female body to reflect on patriarchal violence against Iranian women. The companion series, Woman Life Freedom (2023), takes its title from a contemporary Iranian women's movement.

The statement notes that while hijab has been "a part of the Iranian tradition, just like the Iranian carpet", governmental enforcement has transformed it into a point of confrontation for women across different perspectives.
